Herts Awards Winners at the Regional Awards

We were absolutely delighted to join the LTA Regional Award winners at the Rothesay Open in Nottingham on Tuesday 13th June to watch them receive their certificates and awards from LTA President Sandi Proctor. We were privileged to meet so many deserving winners and hear of the amazing work they are doing; we are so proud that two of these were Hertfordshire’s own! Jacqui and Tony from HACRO (Hertfordshire Association for the Care and Rehabilitation of Offenders) collected the regional award for Connecting Communities and Simon Spalter (Tennis Volunteer Community group) collected the Cathie Sabin Volunteer of the Year award for the region too.

The sun shone all day, we were treated to some fantastic tennis with Andy Murray winning his first-round match, with other Brits Jodie Burrage and Katie Swan also playing with Jodie giving us a thrilling three setter to come through too.

Well done to all the Award winners, tennis thrives because of people like you and good luck to all going on to the National judging.

A big thank you to LTA – Tennis For Britain for a wonderful day and in particular Alex and Simon from the Awards team from all of us at Herts Tennis.
