Hertfordshire award winners receive further recognition
We are very excited that a number of our county award winners have been further recognised by the LTA. Our Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Sue Neville has made it through to the shortlist for the National Awards. The winners of the National Awards will be announced in April and we are very proud of this recognition of Sue’s hard work and achievements and wish her the very best of luck.
Our Club of the Year award winner Bishops Stortford LTC and our Young Person of the Year award winner Ellie have both received LTA Excellence Awards. The Excellence Awards were introduced in 2025 as a way to broaden the reach of the LTA Awards and provide more reward and recognition across tennis and padel in the UK. Recipients receive a pair of complimentary tickets to a grass court event of their choice (HSBC Championships WTA, Eastbourne, Ilkley or Nottingham). We are delighted that these award winners have received this honour.
Last but not least, we are thrilled that Pam Burrage our Hertfordshire Schools LTA lead has received a Meritorious Service Award. This award is one of the highest honours given by the LTA. It recognises the substantial contribution made by an individual over their lifetime to tennis at a County, Regional or National level. Congratulations to Pam. Her commitment and enthusiasm for schools tennis is exemplary and the award is very well deserved.
