Herts Tennis Coaches Forum

Herts Tennis work with the Herts Tennis Coaches Forum (formerly Working Group) to support all LTA accredited coaches and coaching assistants working in Hertfordshire venues. They are a group of hard working, committed coaches working to provide additional fresh and exciting Continuous Professional Development opportunities for all coaches in our county and beyond as well as providing annual first aid training courses. Rob Smith Doubles Workshop

The Herts Tennis Coaches Forum Group has organised a Doubles Workshop with Rob Smith who is one of the most experienced travelling coaches in the UK.

Rob achieved his LTA Level 5 qualification at 21 years and was Head Coach at Bromley Tennis Academy for 4 years.  He has worked with players to win ATP titles, senior and junior ITF titles and 2 Tennis Europe titles.

The title of Rob’s presentation will be ‘Key drills and skills from the tour to help develop our club doubles players’.

The date/venue is as follows and places are limited and are strictly on a first come first served basis with payment required to confirm your place:

Friday 24th May 2024 (prompt 9.15am to 1.45pm)

Venue: Batchwood Sports Centre, Batchwood Drive, St Albans, AL3 5XA.

LTA Youth Tennis Leaders Course 15th June 2024

The LTA Youth Tennis Leaders Course is aimed at 11 – 18 year olds. The programme provides young people, whatever their tennis ability, with the opportunity to gain valuable leadership skills both on and off the court. This is the first step on a tennis and sports career path for volunteering and paid employment.

The course will cover three modules:
Introduction to tennis
Leading a practice session/Helping at a Competition

Date: 15th June 2024, 9am – 1pm

Venue:  Welwyn Tennis Club, 7 Ottway Walk, Welwyn, AL6 9AT

Forget standing around waiting for your turn to hit a forehand, think dynamic sessions catered for all abilities designed to help kids to learn new life skills developing them both as players and as people.
