Herts Men crowned champions at the 2017 Aegon Summer County Cup!!

Hertfordshire men had a wonderful week at the Aegon Summer County Cup held at Devonshire Park in Eastbourne.  Over the 5 day tournament the men played Middlesex, Suffolk, Surrey, Kent and Essex as well as being challenged by the British weather!

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday saw victories over Middlesex 5-4, Suffolk 5-4  and Surrey 8-1. On Thursday the men battled through a hard day but unfortunately went down 2-7 to Essex .  With everything to play for on Friday and rain forcing play on to astro courts at nearby venue, the men romped home with an excellent 5-2 victory over Kent.

A huge well done to team captain Jeff Wayne and players Neil Bamford, Ben Davis, Jake Munns, David Rice, Josh Rose, Lewis Roskilly, Neil  Roskilly, Harvey Shackleton and  James Wilkinson.
