Hertfordshire’s David Stevenson in winning action at the Lexus Ilkley Open Men’s Doubles.
Herts player David Stevenson was part of the winning men’s doubles pair with partner Marcus Willis at the Lexus Ilkley Open. The pair wrapped up the men’s doubles title with a 7-6(5), 6-3 win over India’s Rithvik Bollipalli and the USA’s Trey Hilderbrand. The duo broke three times in the second set to complete their final victory in an hour and a half.
Stevenson and Willis have now won four doubles titles together, including the Taipei Challenger and two ITF $25k tournaments in Sunderland. Both players have also been granted a Wimbledon wildcard to play in the Men’s Doubles. We wish them the best of luck!
